When you think of the Bahamas, turquoise waters, colorful cocktails, and its warm, welcoming residents come to mind. But the folks with Baha Mar want you to know that the islands of the Bahamas have much more to offer, like art, culture, and incredible food.

The Bahamas Culinary and Arts Festival will kick off on October 21 at Baha Mar. For three days, visitors can sample and savor dishes from chefs known around the world, like Marcus Samuelsson of Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, Daniel Boulud of Cafe Boulud, and Dario Cecchini of Carna. Other celebrity chefs will also be in attendance, including Amanda Freitag and Carla Hall, along with Simeon Hall Jr., a Nassau native. With this star-studded culinary lineup, combined with an itinerary of unforgettable events, this event will put Baha Mar on the map as a premier culinary and arts destination.

Samuelsson will host the exclusive welcome party, “Sundown & Sips,” on Friday, October 21. Throughout the weekend, each of the headlining chefs will host bespoke interactive experiences. So, when you get back home, you can brag to your friends that you learned cooking tips from celebrity chefs.

Art enthusiasts will experience a “cultural journey” that showcases local art, while also witnessing Bahamian artists creating new pieces as the festival is underway.

Don’t worry—there will be plenty of food to eat, too.

Save room for the Grand Dine-Around, featuring a sampling of the very best of the Bahamas and Baha Mar’s restaurants, bars, and cafes. You may want to pace yourself, though, as there will be more than 45 delicious options to choose from.

The event closes with an uber-exclusive al fresco dining experience with the festival’s chefs and artists. You’ll need a special ticket to be part of that memorable meal which will take place on Long Cay, Baha Mar’s lush private island hideaway.

If you haven’t experienced the white sandy beaches of Baha Mar yet, The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival is the perfect reason to visit this gorgeous resort. Take a break from the festival and enjoy a round of golf at the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Royal Blue course or pretend you’re a kid again as you plummet down the Thunderball, an extreme free-fall slide in Baha Mar’s brand new $200 million Baha Bay luxury water park.
