Travelers looking for an adults-only escape to Jamaica have plenty of options, among which Couples Resorts’ four luxury all-inclusive resorts along the north coast tend to rise to the top thanks to the quality of offerings and warm Jamaican hospitality that await.

And if it’s been a while since you’ve been to Ocho Rios, a $12 million renovation effort at Couples Sanss Souci, scheduled to be completed by Dec. 1, 2022, make for a good reason to get back.

The massive overhaul to the five-star resort—famed for having its own natural mineral grotto for restorative soaking—includes new culinary offerings and expansions to the Balloon Bar, upgraded facilities throughout the public spaces and a fresh, updated look in all the suites.

“In virtually every respect, the resort will be new,” explained Abe Issa, President of Sales and Marketing for Couples Resorts. “We’ve taken exceptional care to ensure that the renovation perfectly complements the resort’s uniquely beautiful location, which features a serene crescent beach, lush tropical gardens, and a natural mineral spring pool.”

Inside the resort’s posh suites, the decor and design have been leveled up to include new sliding glass doors that open to furnished patios and balconies and updated walk-in showers, including some with his and hers options. The suites’ overall look has been refreshed, too, with all-new wood furnishings and natural textures mixing with pops of color.

New culinary offerings at the resort include Asian-themed specialties served in a setting just steps from the beach as well as a new coffee bar, Java, brewing Jamaica’s celebrated Blue Mountain coffee.

At the spa, look for upgraded gazebos for enjoying a treatment as well as a brand new massage hut set alongside the property’s Lily Pond for a maximum bliss-out vibe.

The resort has remained open during the renovations, with little if any impact to the offerings. But if you’re considering booking a winter getaway, you might want to wait to visit until after Dec. 1 to enjoy the fully upgraded experience.
